Configit's roots lie in academia and technology. The company was founded by two professors and three PhD students from The IT University of Copenhagen, and over half of the employees have a PhD or more than one academic education at master-level.
The company's core technology is based on more than 10 years of research in formal verification of hardware and software and constraint solving.

- 15 years of research within formal verification and configuration technology

Lars Høgsted, VP Sales - Joined Configit in 2003
- Holds a Masters in computer science and physics
- 12 years experience managing international sales of complex IT-solutions
- Previously established Siebel Solutions as a business area for Danish IBM affiliate EDB Gruppen
Henrik Hulgaard, CTO - Cofounder of Configit
- Holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington
- Former Associate Professor at The IT University of Copenhagen
- Published more than 25 international articles
Simon Mørk, VP Solutions - Joined Configit in 2008
- Holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
- External lecturer at both the IT University of Copenhagen and DTU
- 8 years experience as support manager for ERP solutions
