Configit's roots lie in academia and technology. The company was founded by two professors and three PhD students from The IT University of Copenhagen, and over half of the employees have a PhD or more than one academic education at master-level. 

The company's core technology is based on more than 10 years of research in formal verification of hardware and software and constraint solving.
